The newly established Joint Lab connects all health-related activities spread over the three Programs in Helmholtz Information to drive the transformation towards a self-driving digital backbone. Health-X provides the core digital framework that enables seamless interaction between AI methodologies, cloud and edge infrastructures, human-AI interfaces, and autonomous experimental platforms─integrating them into a unified, high-performance acceleration ecosystem for health technologies. The contribution of Topic TruST is to help integrate explainability, trustworthiness, and human-centered design into these infrastructures, particularly in safety-critical domains such as health technology development.
