MobilityKIT

Sustainable transportation is a key challenge on the path to carbon neutrality and climate protection. To meet this challenge, we need not only next-generation propulsion technologies but also new, intelligent mobility concepts. The key to these concepts lies in the increasing connectivity of vehicles, travelers, and transportation infrastructure, which intensifies data exchange. This future development will also increase the attack surface of mobility systems—an area where successful attacks can quickly jeopardize functional safety. Security vulnerabilities will thus limit the acceptance of future mobility concepts and thereby jeopardize the achievement of climate goals. Accordingly, sustainable mobility of the future cannot (and must not) be achieved without the security of the underlying mobility systems.
